Zwischen Kommerz, Kommunikation und Kontrolle : zur Wirtshauskultur in Saarbrücken und St. Johann im 18. Jahrhundert

Abstract

Die mikrohistorische Studie rekonstruiert mit Quellen des Stadtarchivs Saarbrücken und des Landesarchivs Saarbrücken die Wirtshauswelt zweier nassau-saarbrückischer Kleinstädte im 18. Jahrhundert. Sie untersucht die Wirtsfamilien, das Publikum, das Wirtshausleben - von der Trinkkultur bis zu Wirtshaushändeln - sowie die obrigkeitliche Kontrolle der Lokale.

The micro-historical study reconstructs with sources from the Municipal Archives Saarbrücken and the State Archives Saarbrücken the tavern world of two small towns in Nassau-Saarbrücken in the 18th Century. It examines the host families, the public, the pub life - from the drinking culture to the inn brawls - as well as the governmental control of the premises.
